Manchester’s favourite vintage emporium will be reopening after almost a year since the fire that ripped through the building, claiming the life of firefighter Stephen Hunt. It has been a long and arduous task to rebuild the structure of the building and a long wait for fans of vintage fashion who’ve had to walk a little bit further up Oldham Street to find what they were looking for on the racks from the past. The long wait, and massive works that have taken place to restore the shop have, at least, inspired the layout as indoor scaffolding serves as the hanging rails creating a labyrinth of solid threads. Let’s hope there’s still a suitcase full of cravats and bowties too!
