In a year which will be marked as one of the finest for new Manchester music, Hoya:Hoya (club night & label) boss Illum Sphere is enjoying a particularly halcyon period. A career high looms with the forthcoming release of a highly anticipated 12″ on XL offshoot label Young Turks. To celebrate the launch of Birthday / H808er, this launch party in conjunction with Young Turks, brings guests and an audience to the unexpected setting of Manchester Art Gallery. Joining Illum Sphere behind the decks will be local heroes Zed Bias, Mindset Records boss Indigo, Manchester’s premier selector Jon K and the ever ready Chunky, who arrives on a wave of deserved plaudits for his debut 12″ on Swamp 81. London-based streaming crew, Boiler Room, will be broadcasting the event live so tune in from 7pm and spot your mates trying to look suitably cool.

Tue 18 Sep, Manchester Art Gallery, Mosley Street, M2 3JL, 7pm-11pm, guestlist closed, stream online from http://boilerroom.tv/live/
