Summer is always a good time to get your read on – whether it’s poolside on holiday or more likely here, stuck inside on a rainy day. But if you find you’ve read through your own collection just a few too many times, make room on your bookshelves and get down to the Portico Library this month for their fund-raising fair. With prices starting at only £2, choose from the Portico’s collection of classics, antiquarian and rare reads, alongside donations from members and other like-minded people looking to revamp their own bookshelves. Just make sure you get any unwanted books down to the library by Saturday 10 August, then make your way to the week-long fair, giving you plenty of time to rummage through to find the perfect holiday reading.
