After the hugely successful Whokill, named as the Guardian’s album of 2011, tUnE-YaRdS has finally announced her return with much-anticipated new record Nikki Nack – out 5 May – and a short UK tour to match. A collaboration with producers John Hill (Rihanna, M.I.A.) and Malay (Frank Ocean, Alicia Keys), Nikki Nack promises a ‘brilliantly playful’ sound influenced by a trip to Haiti, which you can preview on riotous, handclap-heavy new track Water Fountain, below. Likely to be the soundtrack to your summer, you can hear the new songs live at the end of June, as Merrill heads to the UK, following support slots with Arcade Fire and The National. Tickets are now on sale… and keep your eye out for a competition to win tickets here on Manchester Wire.
