Five women come together to celebrate the launch of ‘Feminists Don’t Wear Pink’ at The Lowry on Wednesday 3 October and to discuss what the f-word means to them. Aiming to sit between the social media hashtags and scholarly research, the book debunks myths and explains what feminism means in today’s world. The panel includes Scarlett Curtis, who curated the book, sitting alongside Amy Trigg (of Mama Mia!), Grace Campbell, Sharmadean Reid, and Guilty Feminist podcast host, Deborah Francis-White. All will be offering personal interpretations and stories of what feminism means to them.
The discussion is no doubt going to be lively and full of individualistic takes on feminism, and some may even come away thinking that feminists do indeed wear pink.
The book, which is highly recommended by the very much pink wearing Legally Blonde star Reese Witherspoon, is launched on Thursday 4 October is included in the ticket price and can be signed by the panel after the event.
