Hailing from New Mexico and inspired by Eastern European and Turkish traditions, a Hawk and A Hacksaw are one of those bands you have to see live. Known for their unique performances, with accordionist Jeremy Barnes often strapping bells and drumsticks to his body so he can play percussion and his accordion simultaneously, expect a kind of blissful cacophony. Forthcoming double album, You Have Already Gone To The Other World, is the result of a live soundtrack to the 1964 film Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors that the duo  took out on the road last year, blending dynamic compositions and traditional folk, inspired by the film. Listen to title track here. Support comes from Berlin multi-instrumentalist, Frisk Frugt.
