Contact Theatre’s Queer Revue returns to Band on the Wall with all its trademark glamour and splendour. The spectacle promises drag, performance artistry and the event’s answer to The X Factor, a singing contest for queens with a real voice, ‘Dragapella’. This late-night variety show squeezes more creative juice into the Northern Quarter venue than Canal Street’s hotspots combined, with the likes of Stefan Fae, a radical faerie from Dublin, performing alongside a line-up of dancers, poets and DJs from across the cultural spectrum. It’s all hosted by Grace Oni Smith – make up artist by day, trans diva by night.
