Book now: A Winged Victory for the Sullen at St. Philip’s Church

Accompanying Nils Frahm for BBC 6 Music Proms just last month, AWVFTS’s London show next February has already sold out despite its quiet announcement. Manchester-based promoters Dots & Loops have invited the ambient duo back after nearly four years, in a venue as grandiose as the duo’s output: St. Philip’s Church in Salford. Encompassing their signature piano, string and drone sounds, their second LP Atomos also partners up electronics, harps and modular synthesisers. It was born out of the profound effect their music had on ballet dancers, and was originally commissioned as a new oeuvre for a dance company. The sonic result is as electrifying and poignant as the movements they were married up to.
