Butcher Brown are an acclaimed five-piece jazz group hailing from Richmond, Virginia. Their sound, as heard on records such as 2016’s Virginia Noir and 2017’s The Healer, fuse funk, rock and jazz to generate an almost garage-punk sound. Made up of producer DJ Harrison, bassist Andrew Randazzo, guitarist Morgan Burrs, horn-player Marcus Tenney and percussionist Corey Fonville on drums, Butcher Brown’s accomplished live performances are never ones to miss. Support for this show at Band on the Wall comes from British-Nigerian hip hop performer Lehin, who recently released his seductive second single, Road to Damascus, and the ever-excellent DJ Pablo Blanquito, a regular feature of the Manchester scene with recent shows on Reform and Unity Radio.
