Rosie Kay Dance Company returns to HOME with new show, MK Ultra, created in collaboration with cult documentary filmmaker, Adam Curtis (The Power of Nightmares, HyperNormalisation). Expect a supercharged, high energy reflection of pop culture. As the political environment gets more stormy both here and across the pond, with talk of fake news and alternative facts, this production’s portrayal of mind control conspiracies, surveillance and Illuminati imagery seems more relevant than ever. In fact, the title of the play is a CIA code word for a real LSD-fuelled brainwashing technique used by the US military. Rosie Kay is renowned for tackling challenging issues, frequently looking at hidden messages and subverting the subversive and was choreographer on the hit film, Sunshine on Leith.
