The team at Bluestocking Theatre focus on placing women’s voices and stories at the heart of everything they do. Seeking to give fresh opportunities to underrepresented and marginalised groups, this up-and-coming Manchester-based company have already made waves at Manchester Theatre Festival and beyond with their unflinching explorations of what it means to be a woman in today’s society.

Now, they’re launching a new writing night at 53two, one of Manchester’s coolest independent arts venues. Expect big, bold theatre by some of the North West’s most exciting new writers. Taking place on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 October, the event will feature short plays that take the audience on a journey through six different worlds. From tales of family, war, and friendship, to a short comedy about an alien invasion in Hulme, All the Rage promises to leave theatregoers with fresh Northern perspectives on life, love and loss through a woman’s eyes.

Audience members are also invited to attend a Q&A with the writers and directors on the 7th, where you can learn more about the creative process behind the evening’s performances.
