A true alt rock pioneer, Bob Mould’s band Hüsker Dü is often cited as an influence by Nirvana and Pixies. Back in 2011, See a Little Light: A Celebration of the Music and Legacy of Bob Mould saw the likes of Dave Grohl, Britt Daniel (Spoon) and Ryan Adams all pay homage to the rock legend. This May, fans can celebrate the musical hero themselves as he sets his sights on Manchester as part of a short UK tour in support of most recent album, Silver Age and A Box Of Sugar – a compilation of his later band Sugar’s complete recordings. Bob and his touring band will be performing a selection of songs spanning his entire catalogue, with solo and Hüsker Dü classics, as well as key tracks from Sugar’s acclaimed 1992 album, Copper Blue. Lessons in alt rock from one of the genre’s all time icons.
