Tickets have just gone on sale for Action Against Hunger’s first Auction Against Hunger in the North at Upper Campfield Market in Castlefield. This is basically a big food and booze party, with gourmet small plates and five drinks included in your ticket price. Food will be cooked by the region’s leading UK chefs and TV personalities including Simon Rogan, Simon Wood and Josh Eggleton and the format will be the same at the established event in London which is set to pop up at the inimitable Borough Market later this year. A highlight of London’s dining (and fun) calendar, we expect that the same will be true of the soon-to-be-annual Manchester event, once everyone realises what a bargain it is. All in the name of charity, too.
