As hard as it may be to believe, Badly Drawn Boy’s album The Hour of Bewilderbeast turns 15 years old this summer. A big birthday bash is planned for the end of July, where The Boy himself, Damon Gough, will perform the album in its entirety at the Bridgewater Hall. It’s hardly the hippest venue, but it is an appropriately large one. That being said, the gig is still selling out fast, so book ASAP. Bewilderbeast was Gough’s first full-length record, and it featured the hit singles Once Around the Block and Disillusion. It sold almost half a million copies, won the Mercury Prize, and reached many critics’ ‘best of the decade’ lists. The concert will also feature a second set highlighting other hits and fan favourites.

Fri 31 July, The Bridgewater Hall, Lower Mosley Street, M2 3WS, 7pm, £21 – £27.50, bridgewater-hall.co.uk
