Most relationships seldom make it past the ten year mark, but Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally have been producing music as Beach House for over a decade, churning out dream-pop numbers from their Baltimore home. The last we heard from them was 2012’s Bloom and, three years on, their path leads to simplicity; bare tracks wrapped around a melody and no energy was wasted on excess instruments. Aware of the commercial environment in which they exist, the duo have evolved with a sound that is stripped to its elemental parts; brought to life by this summer’s new release, Depression Cherry.
