Returning for its third year, Beacons music and arts festival will take over the Yorkshire Dales again in August for three days of taste-making live acts and attractions – and it’s already shaping up to be one of the strongest line-ups of the summer. Leading the announcements so far are: electronic pioneer Jon Hopkins (pictured), London folk trio Daughter, Nicolas Jaar’s Darkside, Manchester ‘s PINS and Money, East India Youth, Sweet Baboo, Eagulls, Traams and Cheatahs, with many more acts still to be announced. Elsewhere, the weekend will also see DJ sets from Dixon, Jackmaster, Daniel Avery and Mano Le Tough; while The Space Between area will play host to an array of wonderments, including spoken word and performance, art installations, film screenings, an artisan makers market, and the new Hunters Field – home to new various sights and sounds, including new outdoor stage, The Argyle. For information, including transport and ticket options, head the festival’s website.
