Master lyricist Bill Callahan returns to Manchester next February as he heads up The Ritz in support of new album Dream River. The fifth studio album under his own name, Dream River has been met with mass critical acclaim as the former Smog songwriter takes his brand of lo-fi Americana to even more beguiling and wonderfully crafted heights (listen to him perform Small Plane here). Having packed out his show at the Central Methodist Church back in 2011, The Ritz is logical step for Callahan and, having established himself as a hugely enigmatic and compelling musician, should be just as special a performance.
