Decorated disc jockey Norman Jay MBE will host a one-off experience bringing together a screening of Shaft with an intimate black cinema-themed disco. Taking the reins for the audio-visual crossover event, Jay has licence to select from a wide range of movie soundtracks, cherry-picking sounds from the most iconic films originating from black culture to seldom heard blaxploitation gems. On the big screen, RAD Screenings have secured Shaft, which Jay will introduce, as the main feature for a show made possible by BFI’s Black Star series
