Bon Iver stop off at Manchester Arena on their UK tour in 2020 – celebrating the release of new studio album, i,i. The fourth release from singer-songwriter Justin Vernon’s primary musical project, i,i has already gained critical acclaim to rival that of its three predecessors (2008’s For Emma, Forever Ago, 2011’s Bon Iver, 2016’s 22, A Million), finding Vernon more upfront than ever; his unmistakable falsetto voice layered over the band’s trademark, impressionistic folk collages, complemented by the synth sounds that the band incorporated on their last, more experimental album, 22, A Million. Recorded at Sonic Ranch, Texas and featuring contributions from James Blake, The National’s Dessner brothers, and Moses Sumney, i,i is Iver’s most ambitious and cohesive record yet and the band’s Manchester Arena show is a rare opportunity to see them bring it to life.
