Langworthy Live – a new community music festival with a difference – is coming to Salford this weekend. The two-night event will take place on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 September with a whole host of local talent featuring pop, rock, classical, choirs and spoken word acts – all whilst raising money for charity.
So what’s the twist? This festival will see bands performing from inside different shops and businesses up and down the high street – Langworthy Road with venues including community centres, pubs, restaurants, dry cleaners and even an old sweet shop! Over 45 acts – all genres, all local – have been booked so far with the full line-up to be announced very soon.
Festival goers will be able to purchase a ticket for just £5.50 (inc. booking fee) giving them access to the whole weekends programme from 6pm – 10pm each evening.
The money raised from tickets will go towards local charity Lifecentre Salford and the amazing work they do for the community – supporting the breakfast club, counselling sessions, holiday clubs, a new roof and more.
