Four years since the release of their critically-acclaimed album My Maudlin Career, cult Glasgow band Camera Obscura return to Manchester this summer in support of long-awaited follow-up Desire Lines, due out 3 June. Led by singer Tracyanne Campbell, the six-piece combine layered instrumentation and lavish melodies to create vintage infused, catchy twee-pop. Having travelled to Portland to record this one, Desire Lines promises a more expansive sound plus guest appearances from Jim James (My Morning Jacket) and Neko Case. Showcasing new songs such as Break It To You Gently, unveiled in Glasgow in February, the show will mark a welcome return for the Glaswegian band. Get yourselves re-acquainted with former favourites French Navy and Lloyd, I’m Ready To Be Heartbroken.
