Band on the Wall welcome Canadian folk group, The East Pointers, playing tracks from their acclaimed third album, Yours to Break. Since the arrival of their JUNO Award-winning debut, Secret Victory, The East Pointers (comprised of vocalist/fiddler Tim Chaisson, banjoist Koady Chaisson and guitarist Jake Charron) have marked themselves out with their unique brand of contemporary folk music, which both nods to the traditions of Celtic music while remaining steadfastly modern and forward-looking. Their sophomore effort, What We Leave Behind, took the group’s catchy, harmony-infused grooves to an international audience and their latest record cements their appeal with the pop elements of lead singles Wintergreen and Halfway Tree. Support comes from rising local star, Ellysse Mason, whose 2018 EP Hunt Me Down has made her one to watch.
