Calling all cheese lovers – make the most of mid-November with a trip to Cheshire to experience CheeseFEAST, a two-day boutique cheese festival taking place in the Lion Salt Works Museum. The event runs from 10.30am until 5pm on Sat 16 and Sun 17 Nov, as well as an evening cheese-tasting challenge scheduled for 7pm on Saturday evening. During the day, Saturday will see talks from both Jenny Lindford, the author of Great British Cheeses, and Dan Akers, the inventor of the Periodic Table of Cheese Challenge. On Sunday, there will be talks from various cheese specialists, including Joseph Heler Cheeses of Nantwich. In addition, both days will be filled with cooking demonstrations and cheese tastings, as well as an exhibition featuring the original model of The Cheese Tent from
Wallace and Gromit and the Curse of the Were-Rabbit. There really is something for everyone at this unique event! Tickets cost £8 per day, and the Saturday evening event is £10. They’re available online, or by calling the Lion Salt Works Museum on 01606 275055.
