This November the Manchester Museum – located on Oxford Road at the University of Manchester – will be hosting an evening of Diwali celebrations, including a range of eclectic, exciting performances and activities for people of all ages. Diwali – a festival celebrated and shared by Hindus, Sikhs, and Jains – is a five-day festival and a celebration of rebirth and new beginnings. As we are well into Autumn, come along to this free event and let a little, or a lot, of light into your life at this bumper festival event. There will be food, dancing, and lots and lots of music and cultural activities to create a celebratory atmosphere located right in the midst of the city. The Manchester Museum looks set to be hosting a party like no other. This is, of course, a family friendly event, and it is suitable for everyone, not just students at the University, offering an inclusive experience for all.
