Fresh off the back of their first US tour—which saw them perform acclaimed sets at SXSW – KOKOKO! are a DIY collective championing the contemporary music scene of the Democratic Republic of Congo, gathering strong support from BBC Radio, Pitchfork and Resident Adviser. The band regard their style as “tekno kintueni”, party sounds inspired by electronic music, performed on equipment and instruments they have crafted themselves.
