Drive screening + College live at Gorilla

Hands up if you’ve ever whizzed round the Trafford Centre car park at night, sporting leather driving gloves and listening to A Real Hero by College, the standout signature song of last year’s cult flick, Drive? Everyone, right? Well it’s time to stop all that and channel your Ryan Gosling worship into something more mature. This unique double bill for example. The Drive / College experience includes a live set from the deliciously 80s French electro-pop act followed by a screening of the colour-soaked film, directed by Nicolas Winding Refn whose other credits include directing Tom Hardy in 2008’s Bronson. Tickets go on sale at 3pm today and we’re reliably informed that the huge Gorilla dancehall features no lifts (should people get into the spirit of the film a bit too much).
