Alt-J are proving to be one of the bands of the year. Hailing from Leeds, they bring together epic melody with singer Joe Newman’s trademark, dare we say it, even nasally vocals. Having previously headlined a FutureEverything new music showcase at Quay House in May, they are making a return to Manchester in October at the intimate, pitch-perfect surrounds of the Royal Northern College of Music. Check their masterpiece, Fitzpleasure, here.
