Nick Prueher from the Late Show with David Letterman and The Onion’s Joe Pickett have been collecting found videotapes from thrift stores and charity shops from across the US for over 20 years. Together they have accrued quite the selection of weird and wonderful home movies, instructional videos and work out tapes to screen at their found footage shows. Now, hot on the heels of their sold out American tour, they once again bring their eclectic video library to Manchester. Highlights for this year’s festival include a new collection of exercise tapes, including one called ‘The Sexy Treadmill Workout’, a drunken spring break trip to Florida from 1985 and highlights from a 1996 video about how to care for your ferret (pictured). All forgotten classics, we’re sure you’ll agree. We expect this to sell out so get to the website and grab your tickets. It’s sure to be educational and hilarious.
