6Music DJ, producer and Fun Lovin’ Criminal Huey Morgan returns to Manchester’s Band on the Wall to host another massive Saturday night party in April — his first since November. HUEY 54 is the “soundtrack to late night New York City”, taking inspiration from the city’s historic nightlife scene and delivering classic funk, soul and disco tracks. From Chic to Prince, from Stevie Wonder to Cameo, from Dianna Ross to Donna Summer, Huey serves up the goods from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Guest selectors Disco Mums join Huey at HUEY 54, after their spectacular set back in November. A long-established Manchester collective of all-female DJs, Disco Mums have played legendary local parties, such as Homoelectric and Aficionado, and will make this night at Band on the Wall even more special.
