Federation of the Disco Pimp have been unveiled as the headliners for Band on the Wall’s next Funk & Soul Party. Their hi-octane acid jazz evokes Jamiroquai in his pomp and keeps crowds on their toes from their native Scotland. They were invited to liven the debate at BBC 2’s independence referendum special and have appeared on  Craig Charles’ weekly 6Music funk-stravaganza. Expect good vibes from the first note, as old school hip hop disco purveyors The Allergies and local soul soothers Family Ranks warm up the sound system, as resident DJs (and Manchester Wire’s own club writer) Jamie Groovement and Jonny Shire pick the shoe-shaking grooves until late.
