Lovers of libation should head to the weekend-long Gin Fever Festival in mid-September. The venue is Mayfield Depot – which is on Temperance Street, ironically enough. It will be host to an array of gin suppliers from across the UK and abroad, with a specialist cocktail bar and another exclusively for G&Ts. They will be stocked with over 100 varieties, ranging from London Drys to Old Toms, and also some more outlandish creations. If you crave a little more drink diversity, an alternative bar will be serving beers and ciders from local craft breweries. Masterclasses hosted by industry experts will give you insight into topics like distillation, botanicals, and cocktail making. As its never good to drink on an empty stomach, there will be a range of street food vendors on hand. And when it’s time to go, you can buy your favourite tipples to take home. The ticket price includes a festival goblet and one free G&T.
