Calling all carnivores: tickets for Grillstock, the barbecue and music festival, are now on sale. The weekend-long meat-tacular returns at the end of May at its usual home of Albert Square. Dozens of food traders will be on hand, with many professional barbecuers battling to be crowned ‘King of the Grill’. Brave gourmands might want to enter an eating contest, but on their own head (or stomach) be it. To wash everything down, there will be booze courtesy of Brooklyn Brewery, Sailor Jerry Rum, and Bulleit Bourbon. On the music side, Saturday’s headliner is the legendary DJ Grandmaster Flash, while loveable sauce-slinging singer Levi Roots will also be performing. On Sunday it will be the turn of Bath-based indie rockers The Heavy – with more acts to be announced in the following weeks.
Sat 30 – Sun 31 May, Albert Square, 11am – 11pm (Sat), 11am – 6pm (Sun), £40 (weekend pass), grillstock.co.uk
