Made up of sisters Este, Danielle and Alana and drummer Dash Hutton, LA-based band HAIM have been winning hearts critically and commercially all over the planet. In fact, so potent is their presence in today’s music scene that their show on Sunday 8 December at The Ritz sold out in record time. Luckily, however, in advance of the big night, they’re starting the party going with a DJ set at Deaf. Their sound is one that exhibits the soft-rock and folksy vibes of the legendary Fleetwood Mac, and yet, swishing their long, dark hair around whilst wielding guitars, HAIM’s music also takes you back to the girl power of the classic 90s girl bands. With such a unique blend that ushers in not only the sturdy tradition of folk and rock, but also the upbeat playfulness of pop and R&B, expect to have fun.
