There’s plenty of ways to start your day here in Manchester, some of them boozy, some of them carby – all of them fun. Fancy Spinningfield spot The Ivy aims to provide a holistic alternative later this month by hosting a harp Yoga Breakfast session on the morning of Fri 19 Jul. Starting bright and early at 7.45am, this restorative event takes place on The Ivy’s leafy rooftop garden and will be hosted by Manchester yogi Claudia Mirallegro, accompanied by acclaimed UK harpist Alice Kirwan. Their morning yoga session will last approximately 45 minutes and cater to all experience levels, allowing attendees to find a moment of much-needed calm amid the hustle and bustle of the big city while soaking up The Ivy’s expansive rooftop view. Once you’re all flexed and awake, the venue will then serve up breakfast in the Ivy Brasserie, with a selection of fresh juices and breakfast dishes on offer. Don’t expect any Pop Tarts, though. Keeping in the theme of health, you’ll instead find eggs Benedict, dairy-free coconut yoghurt with berries, crushed avocado and gluten free toast. Tickets are £30 per person and can be bought here.
