Following a successful inaugural outing last year, Lancaster’s largest and most popular music festival returns again this summer, bringing a host of excellent names to the picturesque Williamson Park on Fri 17 May. Taking place over three days, this year’s highlights include visits from disco stalwarts Sister Sledge, still dancing five decades-deep into their career, indie favourites The Zutons, Welsh alt-rock outfit Feeder and a special appearance from hip hop pioneer Grandmaster Flash. A host of electronic talent will also be descending on the park, taking over the Dell Stage, a natural amphitheatre deep in the woods. The line-up includes Saved Records boss Nic Fanciulli, James Zabiela, London Elektricity, General Levy, Greg Wilson, Hifi Sean and many more have been confirmed. BBC Introducing will also be bringing with them some of the finest up-and-coming acts from the North West and beyond. Attendees can look forward to five stages of music from 11am until 11pm, as well as a family day on Sunday. Camping is also available for £25 per night, including use of the toilets, showers, parking and shuttle bus all included. Organised by the team that brought us the A Wing raves at Lancaster Castle along with local floor-filler Hacienda Classical, the festival will also be fundraising for Macmillan.
