Book now: Hip hop duo Shabazz Palaces at Deaf Institute

Alt hip hop production duo will bring their space-age raps and cuts to Manchester’s Deaf Institute this autumn. Fused in Seattle and recently enriched in Southern California, Palaces’ show is an opportunity to sample the fruits of Quzarz: Born on a Gangster Star and Quzarz vs The Jealous Machines, a pair records that dropped almost simultaneously in July, along with an accompanying film. The intergalactic double-album concept introduces socio-political commentaries and sci-fi melodies that exemplify Shabazz Palaces’ talents for multimedia expression, a sound that sounds too visual to be experienced solely on record.
