Hit & Run and Now Wave present Baauer at Gorilla

One to look forward to in the new year from the bountiful combo of Manc promoter don dadas Hit & Run and the unnervingly prescient Now Wave. Hip-hop wunderkind Baauer has enjoyed a meteoric rise that has seen him explode from a much-hyped Soundcloud account to headline tours and a release on Diplo’s Mad Decent label seemingly in a matter of months. Meteoric rises are always scrutinised by expectant naysaysers and Baauer has been lazily lumped in with some of the worst exponents of the currently huge Trap sound, but his ideas are fresh, production is neat and his bass is ten tons heavy. This one is going to be fun.
