The Finnish jazz trio led by the peerless pianist Alexi Tuomarila have announced a Manchester show at Band on the Wall on their short UK tour. Chiming in at the dulcet end of the jazz spectrum, the three-piece relish in showcasing their virtuosity with dextrous flourishes and polyrhythmic melodies. The piano-drums-double bass combo, which also features the musical skills of Mats Eilertsen and Olavi Louhivuori, have received acclaim from critics across European for their second LP, Kingdom, released at the start of May as a teaser for an enrapturing live show.
