If you’re not yet familiar with contemporary urban teen Archy Marshall, aka King Krule, best get acquainted now as he looks set for big things. Don’t let his young, paper-thin look fool you, though: King Krule mixes grotty, downbeat tales with a poetic lyricism so precocious that it’s hard to believe he’s still a teen, having released debut album 6 Feet Beneath The Moon on his 19th birthday. Brit School-educated and with a distinctly mournful baritone, Marshall’s blend of jazz, dub and garage has been met with huge critical acclaim and he’ll be bringing his debut to The Ruby Lounge in October, with a show you probably won’t want to miss.
