Familiar to some of the largest venues in the city with her band Lamb, Lou Rhodes is set to perform her solo material in the atmospheric surrounds of the Deaf Institute. Her fourth album, theyesandeye, released this summer via the resurrected Nude Records, met with strong reviews that drew comparisons with Nick Drake and Joni Mitchell, adding to her ever-expanding repertoire since receiving a Mercury nomination for her 2005 solo debut, Beloved One. This October’s show at Deaf Institute offers fans a chance to hear these songs from closer proximity than her usual expansive electronica with Lamb at Manchester Cathedral and Albert Hall.
