With summer and the festival season in full swing, the return to shorter days and autumnal weather seems a daunting prospect. But fear not as, following the success of its inaugural year, Leeds International Beer Festival returns in September for one last hurrah before the dreaded summer comedown kicks in. Set within the prestigious surroundings of Leeds Town Hall (pictured), the festival is a four-day celebration of local and international beer, food and music, promoting both local goods and those from overseas. With hundreds of beers and ciders on offer, this year’s picks include the likes of Brewdog, Dark Star, Five Points, Hawkshead, Ilkley, Magic Rock, Roosters and Thornbridge to name a few. But whether you are a committed beer connoisseur or simply want to take in the experience, there’s something to everyone’s taste as festival-goers can also soak up live music performances alongside the finest local produce at the street food market, with acts and retailers yet to be announced. Priced at just £6.50 for a day or evening session, it’s well worth booking now to ensure you see the summer out in style.
