It’s never too soon to embark on a music career and Mahalia’s early-life experience is testament to that. A headlining Deaf Institute show follows on from her duets with some of the biggest stars of pop music – Ed Sheeran and Rudimental among them, having fronted the latter on Later With Jools Holland. It’s early days, but the teenage soul singer is en route to becoming Leicester’s finest export since Gary Linekar.
