Pieces of a Man are a Manchester-based collective who are known for testing and pushes the conventions of a live soul band. With both live instrumentation and real-time sampling that generates intricate sonic textures that blend with the group’s live sound – the collective have recently been featured on BBC 6music, BBC Radio 2, and Jazz FM, alongside prominent support slots with Bilal, Cory Henry’s Funk Apostles and Omar. For this special show at Band on the Wall in their hometown, Pieces of a Man will present their debut record, Made In Pieces. Released on Tru Thoughts in 2019, the record was produced by the legendary UK garage figure Zed Bias AKA Maddslinky, and includes guest performances from Amp Fiddler, Harleighblu and Misha B.
