You might want to end your Dry January a little early, in time for the Manchester Beer and Cider Festival 2019. Taking place at Manchester Central, this is the biggest event of its kind in the North. It’s hosted by CAMRA (The Campaign for Real Ale), so you know it’ll be bacchanalian but well-organised. Here’s the key info, by the numbers. It’s on for three days, will have 24 bars, and a total of 745 different tipples. The 100 Club Bar will present family brewers with over a century of brewing experience, and there will be 40 brews in traditional wooden casks. You’ll find drinks from around the world, plus some new commissions and brewery collaborations. There’ll also be street food stalls and traditional pub games. Even if you’re not into beer or cider, you can amuse yourself at a bar dedicated to gin.
