Acclaimed by Gilles Peterson and buoyed by extensive European tours, Skeltr have made a name for themselves as one of the most exciting jazz acts to emerge from Manchester in recent years and Band on the Wall welcome them for a special headline performance in their hometown. Masterfully blending live saxophone and drums with electronics — including samples, synths, and loop pedals — Skeltr manage to craft a sound that both harks back to its jazz foundations and points forward to contemporary influences. The band have supported acclaimed group, KNOWER, performed with Dinosaur at the renowned Oslo Jazzscene venue in Norway and at London’s Southbank Centre. In 2018, they released their self-titled debut — which captured their stunning live sound. Local support comes on the night from Paltin and DJ Glue70.
