Those with a fear of the dark and/or heights might want to skip this one as iconic city centre restaurant 20 Stories hosts the highest ever ‘blackout’ dining experience Manchester has ever seen. The restaurant named as such because of the distance it is from the ground will be lit only by thousands of candles and the lights of the city skyline. Eminent psychologists have been advocating dining in the dark for the ultimate taste experience for many years and an exclusive menu has been created by the restaurant’s new Head Chef, Brian Hughson (a safe pair of hands who started out at Manchester’s groundbreaking Mash and Air) with a selection of the matched wines. Culinary highlights include Cumbrian lamb, grilled Hispi cabbage, pancetta and coco beans as well as whipped lemon jelly and lemon butterscotch sauce. Sounds good to us.
