Following a successful soft-launch that saw them serve socially-distanced takeaway and collection dishes, Manchester’s new Detroit-style pizzeria, Ramona, has revealed a launch date for its new outdoor beer garden and margarita bar. Campfire will debut on Wednesday 14 April and will have enough space for 280 covers, popping-up at the venue’s recently refurbished home on Swan Street in a venue that was previously an unused MOT station and garage depot.

Sitting under a giant tipi and warmed by campfires and fire pits, visitors will be able to tuck into the venue’s signature deep-dish pizzas, which took their cues from America’s car manufacturing hub Detroit. When local pizza makers in the city decided to see if they could cook a pizza in a deep oil can, this new take on the dish was born and quickly admired for its deep, rectangular base and chewy, crispy crusts.

Ramona’s part-covered, festoon-lit courtyard will have space for guest DJs, live performances and a margarita bar, while the venue’s in-house bar will be serving up a selection of Made in Manchester beers. Table bookings for Campfire open at 9am on Friday 26 March. To secure your spot, visit the Ramona website.
