The former Boo Radleys songwriter Martin Carr has announced a run of shows to kick start 2018, including a Manchester date at Deaf Institute. The tour follows Carr’s latest LP, New Shapes of Life, which on its release in October garnered critical acclaim from Pitchfork to UNCUT and prompted Clash magazine to encourage repeated listens of its ‘new era’ sonics. Since fronting the Wirral-based shoegazing Brit-poppers from the late 1980s through the 1990s, Carr has produced several albums under the bravecaptain moniker and is now venturing into the varied realms of David Bowie’s influence under his own name.
