Following his fabulous Sleeping Beauty last year, Matthew Bourne brings his triumphant re-interpretation of Swan Lake back to the Lowry for the first time since its sell-out 2010 run. Controversially replacing the female Swans with male dancers, the multi-award-winning show has drawn plaudits for its daring imagery and innovation as well as its political subtext. A limited five-date run at the Lowry is not to be missed – so book early for a chance to see what is fast becoming the definitive modern day interpretation of this much-loved ballet.
