Damon Albarn, founder of legendary groups Blur and Gorillaz, is set to perform a rare solo set at Manchester International Festival this year – and we couldn’t be more excited.

Famed for his eclectic style, Damon Albarn will be playing a rare solo performance on Tuesday 13 July at Manchester Central, alongside his band and an entire string quartet – so ticketholders can expect quite the performance. The Britpop star is a firm favourite of the festival, having performed at the very first MIF back in 2007. This new set, however, will include new songs from his latest project: The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows.

Regular tickets start at £35, with young guests and lower-waged residents offered a discounted price of just a tenner. The event will be fully seated and socially distanced, so you can enjoy the gig without the leg pain. Bag your tickets by following the link below.
